Meet Melissa – Artist, Data Scientist, and Lover of All Things Creative
Hi there! I’m Melissa—wife, mom, artist, stationery designer, and data scientist with a love for color, creativity, and bringing ideas to life.
My artistic journey began early; in third grade, I dressed as an artist for Halloween, complete with a paint-splattered smock lovingly crafted by my mom, a beret, and one of my grandmother's well-worn palettes. Art has always been my sanctuary, deeply influenced by my paternal grandmother—an accomplished artist and my greatest inspiration. Throughout my life, I've seized every opportunity to create, from taking AP Art in high school (where I began selling my work to teachers!) to launching my own stationery and invitation business in 2015.
While working full-time as an epidemiologist-turned-data scientist, I envisioned launching a website to share my art with a broader audience. However, life took an unexpected turn when the biotech company where both my husband and I were employed suddenly closed and filed for bankruptcy. Faced with uncertainty, I decided to fully commit to my art business, transforming my lifelong passion into my profession.
Now, I dedicate my days to creating art that brings joy and inspiration. Whether it's a hand-illustrated invitation or a custom piece of art, I pour my heart into every creation. With two amazing daughters adding color to my life, I understand the importance of capturing moments that matter. Thank you for visiting—I can't wait to share my work with you!
